If you identify with being sold the ‘millennial dream’ (read: go to college, climb the corporate ladder & save for retirement) and it’s not working for you, you’re in the right place.
Hi I’m Dani, the ADHD, child-free-dance-mom cheering you on from the sidelines.
Club Slay is where my addiction to personal development and advocacy for women collide.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve got questions.
‘What the f*ck do I do with my life’.
‘Should I move overseas or buy a house’.
‘Am I settling in my relationship’?
Club Slay is your personal development bestie, helping you find the answers to all the sticky questions in life.
Why club slay?
I first had the idea for club slay back in 2019 when I was sitting on a beach with a client on set for a TV commercial shoot. We were talking about what we’d do if we weren’t in production.
The idea lingered throughout my 10 year career working in advertising, TV production, branded content and tourism marketing. I spent a lot of time working with brands, talent and influencers and bringing other people’s ideas to life.
But I wanted my idea.
club slay is the bastard child of my decade long advertising career and finding myself deeply unhappy in my 20’s.
I’d ‘ticked all the boxes’. I had the fancy-pants job title, a reasonable pay-cheque and the social approval of friends and family.
But I was utterly miserable.
I was simply following the only path to success that was presented to me.
The path that was supposed to make me happy, but I was anything but.
I spent the best part of a decade feeling like I lived in the passenger seat of my own car. Aimlessly giving directions but never taking the wheel.
I needed answers. I needed an out. I refused to live my life living in my own shadow. Living up to other people’s expectations.
After being made redundant from my Producer role at New Corp, I packed up my dog and belongings and drove 2,000 kms north to Magnetic Island in far north QLD to live a slow life, in a like-minded small community to figure out what’s next.
I started interviewing smart people who identify as women on the podcast Slay Your Way, leaning on my production experience to produce compelling human-centric stories.
Slay Your Way evolved into club slay–the mother company which provides edu-tainment resources via the aforementioned podcast, quizzes, visualizations and our signature course Career Clarity Academy.
I’m not here to throw out a few affirmations and whimsical ‘you got this girl’ inspirational content.
Everything I teach is with careful consideration, my life is built on conscious decisions, as is my business and coaching methodology.
I have a design degree, which means I’m trained to think like a designer. I consider my life a design process. Everything you use, see and interact with on a daily basis has been designed–so why not also design our lives and careers? I use this training to apply design principles like testing and prototyping, along with my life coaching qualification to help my clients design their own careers.
Unlike traditional career and business coaching, I use a self-discovery approach to help creative people like you find passion and purpose in your work. This means, I start my process with helping you to deeply understand your true desires, so you can better position your personal brand amongst the competition and attract your dream job or clients and work on projects that light you up from the inside out. Leaving you feeling truly satisfied for this season of your life.
I’ve now materialized my life’s mission–to use my innate skills to empower others’ to live their best life possible.
